Anatomy of a Good Side Salad Bar (your checklist)

  • Craned, or Disposables, or Both?

  • 2 Greens

  • 3-4 Core Items

  • 1 Crunchy item

  • 1 Cheese

  • 3-4 Specialty items (dried fruits, pickled veggies, etc)

  • 3-4 Dressings


Common Errors to Avoid

  • Disproportionate spending in a single item, just because it’s in the theme. You can order down or completely remove expensive items.
  • Forgetting items, especially dressings (use the checklist above).
  • Omitting whether it’s Craned and/or if Disposable Containers are needed.
  • Not referencing the side salad bar themed calendar for the correct weekly theme (here's the link).
